                                        Quotes and Responses and Artwork

                                                     Cleaning the Drapes Martha Rosler

The artist Martha Rosler is an American artists. Which in this artwork is based on her series that is referenced to the vietnam war. Which this artwork is dedicated to fight for equity and feminism. But you can see that the women is showing behind the curtains about a war that is happening where it looks like she is ready to get rid of it. This also refers to a activism art where this shows how this is a protest and showing about something that happened in the past.

"An Introduction to Activist Art" by Stefanie Graf

"Another important goal of activist art is to create awareness of existing political and social issues. When the public is looking away from suffering that could be prevented or does not want to be confronted with it, activist art often creates a dialogue and forces people to think about these problems."
Response: Which this is important because activism does see the attention that people needs to see and showing what people have been through which is something in danger and also showing how were the challenges were. But also shows that the public needs to see this too and the message that people are trying to bring attention to show what is happening right now.

"The interests, hardships, and experiences of marginalized group are often underrepresented or not discussed at all. Activist art can make these specific experiences visible and include them in historical, social, and political discourse".
Response: This mostly affects people where this is something that is not right which approving something that is wrong. Which mostly can show what is happening like a person can't do this for a reason. But also shows that Activist Art can provide these materials to show what people can fight about.

"Why Artistic Activism" by Stephen Duncombe and Steve Lambert

"Acknowledging that the political language is also a cultural landscape opens up new terrain to work upon. Whereas art tends to be limited to museums and galleries, and activism to street demonstrations and state houses, artistic activism is at home in town squares and shopping malls, on billboards or through social media as well as galleries and state houses".
Response: Which the Activist art can be shown mostly anywhere and bringing a sign to show in a city and the streets. Which the Guerilla girls have down that and showing their signs in their own city. Also the activism shows how they can show things in public for a change.

"While Artistic Activisim is particularly well suited for the contemporary moment, throughout history the most effective civic actors have married the arts with campaigns for social change, using aesthetic approaches to provide a critical perspective on the world as it is and imagine the world as it could be".

Response: Mostly the Activism is inspired by what happen in the past with African American which they were getting their rights. Which with Martin Luther King made a peaceful protest to fight for the rights and trying to bring something new in America for all race to have peace and be allowed to be everywhere without rules. Which there were different rules at that time for all races that the water fountain was for white and the bathroom too. Which now with a protest that Martin Luther King JR made now there is a new future for all people that are allowed to use anything.

"8 Artist using their creativity to drive activism" by Cherono Keter
"Ali Ferzat, the darling political cartoonist from Syria, fearlessly wields his pen as a powerful weapon against oppressive regimes. His illustrations pierce through the fabric of authoritarianism, revealing the raw truth that lies beneath. Despite facing unimaginable brutality, Ferzat's indomitable spirit remains unyielding".

Response: Which looking at his own artwork does how can he can use cartoons for his protest which is very interesting since barely artists never used. But his art mostly makes peace with his artwork and also using his tools to show a message which he has done for his own artworks. But he did made a artwork protest for the syberian government to raise the voice of injustice.

"There's more than one way to be an activist, and that is say, there's more than one way to raise your voice and speak up in the name of change. One of these ways is through arts and creativity."

Response: I see how artists can mostly use their artwork to use it as a protest and mostly stand up for their rights. Which mostly i see artists uses it to make posters for protests as making it a activist art. But is great to see people response it with a artwork for a protest.
