Intervention proposal
I’m honestly thinking about doing my last intervention about
mental health since I already did my last two like that. I will do it in the
form of a video, like a vlog. I don’t know exactly how I’m going to do it.
Maybe, walking around asking people questions about mental health. How they feel, what it means to them, and what
they do to ease their mind. I’ll probably start it off by talking about mental
health what it is, etc. Then end it off with a message.
“The right information just isn’t presented in the right form.”
(chapter,7 pg. 263)
When it comes to art activism, whatever the art is it
shouldn’t overpower the message. Even when just relying on information in
general it has to be put out directly and clearly. Or interpreted in a way
people will understand and follow because if not information can go in one ear
and out the other.
“Being clear about what you want your work to do is the
essential first step to measuring its success” (chapter 7, pg. 276)
This highlights the importance of defining your goals before
jumping into it. Sometimes when you jump into something you might not get the
outcome you were looking for. Especially, as an activist, if you want people to
hear you, listen to you, and execute your message, you need to be clear about
your work. So, your message/your work can be successful.
