Hello, my name is Alan Llugcha, I'm 20 years old and I'm from Ecuador. My major is Graphic Art and Design. I recently transferred from Hudson County Community College, where my major was studio arts (computer arts option). I learned to do digital and traditional artwork. That is still what I'm doing in NJCU, that I still do traditional and digital art. But mostly I like doing all artworks Digitalized which Adobe Illustrator mostly inspired me to do some of my artwork. A few things that I am interested to do is mostly learning more art, hanging out with friends, working out, and playing sports.
Here are some interesting digital artworks that I showed in my exhibition last semester at HCCC:

Quotes and Reactions
"Understanding Patriarchy" by Bell Hooks quotes
-"They were thought that god was male. These teachings were reinforced in every institution they encountered schools, courthouses, clubs, sports arenas, as well churches. Embracing patriarchal thinking like everyone else around them, they taught it to their children because it seemed like a "natural" way to organize life." (18)
Reaction: This mostly shows how when people can change from the gender which is a man. Which Man get learned in these location which this can be true but also show how can male have a ability in these locations which mostly the male can be some interesting abilities and be more active in their reality.
-"Clearly, we cannot dismantle a system as long as we engage in collective denial about its impact on our lives" (24)
Reaction: For me shows that there is nothing that can be fixed for example you making a mistake anywhere and you need to take it which in reality. I made too many mistakes and wish that I can go back and fix it but you can't because it already happened.
"What memes owe to Art History" by Alice Bucknell quotes
"Memes are the democratizing meduim of our collective digital presents. Easy to make, easy to share; instantly recognizable and a little nonsensical; a hilarious and at-times sickly-sweet jab at the world's blunders, scandals, protests, and hypocrises."
Reaction: Some of this is true because this has been happening now for decades and mostly people make the memes for jokes and using their own tools to make their own jokes and using pictures too. Also showing memes on what is going on right now but trying not making it too far for people because some people can be offended on what the jokes is really about.
"Through an ironic and playful treatment of fragmented subject, memes break down high and low culture, disrupting ideas of authencity and originality."
Reaction: This can be true sometimes on how memes can show something offensive and trying to give people's attention by saying something that can make people feel bad or feel ofended too. Because people won't like it. And some people can attack them back by messaging the person who created it. But it memes does show a power for people to use and some people can use it to make jokes and also attack too. But moslty the memes are mostly clean and bring entertainment too.
"Memes are our generation's protest art" by Sage Lazzaro quotes
"The Media [of protest art] have changed somewhat, but the purposes are similar: the blaming of villains, the identification of victims, as well as outrage of the villains, and compassion for those victims", Jasper told VICE. In this case, the targets are Trump and his inner circle, including everyone from Fox News to his wife and press secretaries".
Reaction: For me is kind of true and the reason why is because when he announced that he was running for president in 2015. Mostly people took him as a joke and started to do memes during his presidency and people didn't believe that he was going to be president at the same and also in the elections too but for me that's how people try to get his attention and also people protest too when he was about to president and after the elections too. But that is how people get the attention and targeting Trump and his family too.
"Most people interact with these images in fleeting ways as they scroll through their feeds, but creating or consuming political memes that align with one's point of view can be therapeutic. They reflect what's happening in society, and just help justify the feelings of rage and fear while helping us feel less alone".
Reaction: I can see it true and the reason why is because it can show sometimes disappointed making jokes about what is going on in the world and sometimes people can find this funny too. Since some jokes can be a politics too since people does make jokes too about a person that they don't like and just post it into a meme too. But also there can be people who can feel uncomfortable too since the person is supporting the same one or a different person depending if they are political or famous too.
