Chapter 5
Cognition
P178
“If we could
change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man
changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him.
We need not to wait to see what others do.” – Gandhi
The growth
in a young man’s perspective is extraordinaire. They overcome many challenges
and obstacles in life and progress as time moves on. Some of us are not as
fortunate to see the future but will get a glimpse of reality and the difficulties
that come with it. As a man you are born as a message for the world and should
give life a run for its money.
P 171
“You must
be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Gandhi
For the
people who like to look up at the sun you will understand this feeling of
astonishment and wonder of life in that moment. You are very delicate in this
stage of life because you have changed in many ways and managed to remain who
you are. There may be days where you do not feel like yourself but that’s
normal and that’s just a normal thing for people. We are cool the way we are
and should be comfortable with who we will become.
Chapter 6
Persuasion
P 240
“Try and
understand why people think what they think and do what they do and use this to
build a better world together.” – Steve Lambert
It may be
hard to understand each other because of different languages and cultures around
the world. For example, we are part of the United States soil and not everyone
knows the English language but eventually you will hear an accent of a
foreigner or person just walking along and while the steps to learning life can
be simple the road to recovery is tough.
P 226
“The principle
is Simple: we’re protective of what we have, and we’d rather not lose it, even
if we stand to gain a great deal more.”
We all have something special and meaningful in our lives that we cherish, it could be a necklace chain video game or just anything in general. What gives it purpose is the moment you hold with it and how it changed your life at that point in time. The focus will always feel magnificent as if you found buried treasure or a hidden gem.
Steve Duncombe and Steve Lambert
We’ve all lost something this
year and took many risks. The chances we’ve taken were either life changing or
a waste of time. It's all about balance and how you maintain your time with your
24-hours. Most people take risks going to work, attending meetings, and
going to school because its everyday life. It's not something we have to do but
we do it because it's part of life and the social norm. The world we are
creating is beyond imagination and will progress even further as we enter a new
stage of life.
