Intervention 2

Sometimes, people can be affected by words that can involve
themselves. This is mostly everywhere. But this shows how people can
get hurt with aggressive words and words that they don’t feel comfortable with.
But you just have to feel the urge to get rid of them, burn them, and forget about
them. But most importantly, see how this can change you. But also take it out
and walk out of it. This is more interesting to see because it shows that
you want to start fresh and forget about everything that happened in the past. Also, show how this expression makes you
different and brings your own ways to yourself. This affects adults and teens, and it mostly affects them, too. Which can make adults and
teens very aggressive and use their own anger to do it.
My second intervention was mostly about burning words, which made me go into public in New York and decided to go into places to see if people were very interested in filling out the form and ask them which one word they wanted to get rid of and wrote it down for me and showed the words that they want to get rid of. Afterward, the words were broken, and the rest of the paper was left outside. Afterward, burning it. This shows how paper can be destroyed and rid of words. But this intervention was inspired by Yoko Ono, who made the cutting piece performance. This is more similar to my artwork relates to burning the words from the past and making them forget everything. Yoko Ono made people cut her clothes but also used her own technique to make her own way. She also used her expressions to try doing this artwork and took a risk for her cutting peace artwork. I also used my own technique to cut the paper into pieces, burn it with all the names in it, and forget about it. The only thing that I’m doing is taking things that I don’t like and getting rid of them at the same time.
Before making this project, it was an idea from a friend from Pennsylvania. I spoke to him last week, and he told me about his situation about people calling him names and bullying him. He told me about this, and I told him that I couldn't do anything about it and asked what I could do. But then he told me how he wished that these words could be destroyed and never used anywhere. But this does show how can people be frustrated, and he also has mental health. He also mentioned that he thinks people want to take advantage of him and use these words against him. There was some research done about this situation and from the source "Very Well Mind," where people with mental health can bring causes of depression, stress, social anxiety disorder, Psychosis, generalized anxiety disorder, and PTSD. But mostly, advanced stress can bring more negativity to people with mental health which they can think that they can't do it.
With Burning Words, this shows how things can be let go and just let things happen. But also forget about the words that made me suffer and also words that people can be suffering today. This also shows how I can be a better person today and showing how all of this can affect anyone. Making this project was inspiring, too and the reason why is because this is something to let go of and find new things for yourself. But mainly to see that you're just yourself. But this can be also a message for anyone who has suffered from aggressive names and wants to find a way to forget it too. Because it’s not just only me but more people are suffering because of this and are finding ways to resolve it too.
