Chapters 5 and 6

 Chapter 5

Quote: “The power of community is the greatest weapon against injustice.”

Response: Gathering as a community can be super helpful especially when the point is to grab attention of others and it can be used to combat injustice. It focuses on the strengths and effectiveness of collective action.

Quote: “Every act of resistance, no matter how small, contributes to the greater movement for change”

Response: This quote captures the idea that change is not the main result of dramatic actions but rather the cumulative effect of small actions as well.

Chapter 6

Quote: “Try and understand why people think what they think and do what they do, and then use this to build a better world together.”

Response: From a different perspective try to gain a new understanding of why people act the way they do and as well as their actions.

Quote: “But there’s another way: to try and understand why people think what they think and do what they do, and to then use this to build a better world together."

Response: People should not just be dismissed for being ignorant when they should be more aware of stuff in order to help the world be a better place.

The Matlock Method is what the picture below is showing. The Matlock Method stood out to me Because it was designed to convince society of “what was really going on”. The project does not include a title or the artist. This project holds meaning because it basically goes to explain on how easily influenced society is. The project hold persuasion because it’s an interactive method and it pushes the ability of people.
